This comes entirely from the Chassagne-Montrachet sector of Bâtard-Montrachet, from magnificently-situated vines which lie just across the road from Le Montrachet itself. Planted in 1983 by his late grandfather, these vines are now reaching full maturity. Only one barrel was made, compared to 2 and a half, in 2009.
