Corton Blanc 2017 comes from 35-year-old vines and is aged in 100% new oak. At the moment the new wood dominates the aromatics and consequently it is difficult to discern the origin of the fruit.
The palate is medium-bodied and here, the new oak is better integrated than the nose intimates, adding weight and density to the black fruit. There is good definition on the finish with a long tail of blackberry and tart red cherries.
