Bright yellow. Crystallized lemon peel, crushed stone and a whiff of vanillin oak on the nose. Almost shockingly creamy-sweet, ripe and smooth but a bit subdued today, not yet showing the high notes of the Batard.
An extremely deep but closed Chevalier-Montrachet whose harmonious acidity and salty, stony minerality should enable it to evolve gracefully over the next 15 years.
