Yarden Gewurztraminer 2017
Yarden Gewurztraminer was produced entirely from Gewurztraminer grapes grown in the rocky volcanic soil high altitude of the Golan Heights. This cold area, covered in snow each winter, provides an exceptional environment in which the spicy and tropical fruit qualities characteristic of Gewurztraminer can fully develop. The wine is pretty full-bodied and spicy on the mouth with lots of bitterness and alcohol. The finish is strong spice and lemons but the acid almost gets lost because of the alcohol and bitterness that takes over.
