Lighter bodied & fruitier than I expected from a Cabernet Sauvignon. Paired very nicely with the beef tenderloin my family enjoyed for Christmas dinner.
A wonderfully elegant wine, catching up on some older tasting note, this one matured beautifully and showed elegance and complexity, with a full dense body and an enchanting nose.
Now this is a great single vineyard cab! Apparently Olive Hill holds a special place in their hearts, and I love this stuff! In addition ti potpourri and black licorice, I get this deep brooding cassis and blackberry. The flavor is both more pronounced, and yet more smooth and subtle. Combine that with a subtle pepper spice and I have a wine that keeps me going back to the glass for a sip and a new discovery! Fantastic! (Bleu cheese crusted flank steak!)
