The 2018 blend shifted a bit to 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, 6% Syrah but the earthy Bordeaux style remains the same from winemaker Aaron Pott.
The darker side of Napa fruit shines with plums, blackberry, and mulberry. Roasted coffee, nutmeg and black cherry on a layer of pencil shavings and pine forest prove this wine wants to reveal a touch of more earth than the typical Napa red blend.
