Emerald Rye is a limited edition rye whiskey from Blue Run, distilled at Castle & Key in Frankfort, Kentucky. This rich and spicy whiskey is made from just 189 barrels, and combines the bold flavor of rye with the depth and complexity of aged bourbon. On the nose, it has aromas of butterscotch, caramel, and toasted oak, and the palate is greeted with flavors of buttercream, shishito peppers, apples, pears, and woody spices like cloves. The finish is long and memorable, with notes of leather, oak, and brown butter. Emerald Rye is the second rye whiskey release from Blue Run, following the successful launch of their award-winning Golden Rye.
