A show-stopper of single grain from the closed Carsebridge Distillery here, which was bottled for the 2018 edition of Diageo’s Special Releases. It’s actually the only single grain whiskey to feature – what a choice it was – as well as being the oldest whiskey from this year’s range. It was matured in refill American-oak hogsheads for 48 years in total before it was bottled a cask strength 43.2%. Wowzer.
