91 Points Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate The organic Castello di Verrazzano 2022 Chianti Classico follows a classical playlist in which Sangiovese’s brightness shines throughout. This estate always succeeds at making balanced wines that are elegant, fresh and gastronomic. There is bright spot of tart cherry on the close of this wine that is typical of the vintage. Proprietor Luigi Giovanni Cappellini describes 2022 as extremely hot and dry. “Fruit set was completed nicely and in little time. Heat and light promoted optimal bud development,” he says.
