On Puligny Montrachet side, the vineyards are more sand, slightly rocky, and it is giving finesse and elegance to the cuvée. In the middle of the village of Chassagne, bellow the first cru Clos du Chateau de la Maltroye, where you have clay and little stone.
For the cuvée, it is more balance and some minerals coming from the end of the rocky fault, and south part below at he “vineyard slope “ Abbaye de Morgeot; more clay which is giving some power and roundness to the cuvée.
