One of the very best non-classified Medoc chateaux in a cool yet long-living and complex vintage. Initial notes of dried blackberries, kirsch, smoked game, cocoa, and graphite. Perfect balance of fruit developed umami aromas and freshness. Intense and elegant taste with a distinct mineral character in the form of a certain ‘bite’. Big recommended buy!
Classic aromas and palate of cassis, earth, mature black fruits, tobacco. Medium acidity with fully integrated tannins on its fleshy texture. A good but not memorable quaff. A few years past its prime, this is the bottle to bring when the theme is “wines that need to be drunk.”
Familiar Bordeaux characteristics profile, a lovely whiff of earthiness, coffee, cocoa and black currants aromas; fine tannic backbone and medium long finish.
