The deep dark, purple-red color is virtually opaque. Aromas are of high-toned, dark, red-fruits. The palate has high-ripeness dark-plum fruit which is almost pruney. There is lively acidity.
The fruit on the mid-palate becomes more damson, black-cherry & graphite in nature. Fine, chocolatey tannins have cedary notes & are supple & velvety-smooth – some grip shows at the end. The fruit is dense & the structure is big, with alcohol adding a little warmth to the finish
