The style of these wines is above all very markedly Cabernet, with a predominance of red berry fruit aromas and flavours. They are always ripe and soft, and have an unusually warm feel for such a non-Merlot wine.Pork and veal dishes, pizza, poultry dishes, red meats and heavy game, as well as cheeses and dishes with tomato sauce. This is a very old estate: A priory wall and window from the Middle Ages can clearly be seen incorporated into the cellar wall. Last century, the estate became part of the vineyard- holdings of the Mazeau-Ducour family, who, during the middle of the 20th century specialised in the production of white wines. In the 60s, when the white wine market dropped, these holdings were replanted into red varieties, and then split up amongst the four Mazeau sons. The owner is now Benjamin Mazeau, the youngest of the four sons.
