Originating from the mind of John Glaser in 2000, Hedonism transformed the landscape of Scotch whisky with its pioneering approach to blending grain whiskies. This 2024 release, crafted under the expertise of Lead Whiskymaker James Saxon, is a testament to Compass Box’s commitment to excellence and innovation. Utilizing the last of their stocks of grain whiskies distilled in the 1990s, this limited edition is characterized by a mature profile, with older whiskies (vs. the “standard” Hedonism) almost entirely aged in first-fill Bourbon barrels. The profile is also a tad sweeter compared to regular Hedonism expression, which is being phased out.
