Dalton Alma Red (Scarlet)
This wine has a powerful blend consisting of 52% Shiraz, 32% Grenache, and 16% Mourvedre all sourced from vineyards in Israel’s Galilee and then aged 14 months in oak barrels. The color is a nice deep garnet that fades at the rim. The aroma consists mostly of dried fruit smells, such as dried plums, prunes, raisins with a touch of vanilla. It is medium bodied with a touch of spice and very well balanced. The acid grows on the palate and the tannins are solid leaving a touch of bitterness on the finish. The wine is overall very smooth and well suited for a mature palate.
