Dark Violet color. A floral bouquet with notes of violets, cherries, blackberries and black fruit. Smooth, tense and fresh on the palate, with great structure and persistence. A red with bright fruit and lots of watermelon and lemon aromas and flavors. Light body. Crisp finish. Fun and intriguing.
This wild and musky red is a delicious and surprising find from Chile. It is made from the Cinsault grape, which is typically found in southern France. The wine was fermented and aged in terracotta clay amphorae, aka tinajas, and bottled unfiltered. Enjoy lightly chilled with smoked meats and pâté.
