This comes entirely from the Chassagne-Montrachet sector of Bâtard-Montrachet, from magnificently-situated vines which lie just across the road from Le Montrachet itself. Planted in 1983 by his late grand-father, these vines have now reached full maturity. Only two barrels were made, one being new for this fermentation.
The wine is green-golden in colour, with freshly open, strikingly aromatic aromas. Palate is full-bodied, rich and creamy, with many layers of flavour and sensational length.
