The 2018 Pommard la Croix Blanche includes 10% whole cluster and 40% new oak. It has a perfumed bouquet of black cherry and raspberry fruit laced with sous-bois and rose petals; the new oak is nicely integrated.
The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, and here the oak is a little heightened at the moment (possibly because of the inclement weather on the day of my visit). Still, there is fine harmony on the finish.
