Smaragd is the top category for Wachau wines. Grapes for this wine were carefully hand-picked from small, terraced vineyard plots throughout the Wachau valley. Bight greenish yellow in color. This wine is concentrated on the nose with vibrant aromas of stone fruit, white peach, apricot, lychee, and subtle hints of exotic fruits. A rich and energetic palate with expressive fruit aromas and a juicy finish with abundant fruit. Delightful, balanced and elegant with a long lingering finish. Ideal with lobster, seafood and deep-fried fish. Serve well chilled.
