Duplais Swiss Absinthe Verte is created with wormwood and other botanicals, which are locally sourced and grown on a Swiss plantation reserved exclusively for the finest pharmaceutical-grade herbs. The distillate is reduced to final strength using spring water from the Alps. The chlorophyll from aromatic plants, which are infused in the distillate after distillation, naturally colors Duplais Swiss Absinthe Verte. As a naturally colored product, Duplais will experience some color changes as the chlorophyll oxidizes over time and will eventually achieve the legendary “dead leaf” color, a telling characteristic of the finest vintage absinthes. In the glass, Duplais has a unique golden green hue. The slow-forming louche results in a thick, almost opaque golden green with amber highlights. Following the louche, the complex herbal aromatics unfurl slowly, revealing themselves as lifted wormwood, fennel, and spice.
