The nose on this Hawkes Bay Chard is delicate if a little synthetic, with notes of lime citrus, florals, flecks of honey and white-pepper spice. The palate is richer and broader than the nose lets on, the toasty, spicy oak flaring up. It’s lacking a little energy and focus, but will appeal to those who like creamy styles of Chardonnay.
