The winery Giulio Straccali founded in 1925. She was among the leaders of progressive producers of Chianti. Businessman, farmer and winemaker Giulio Strakkali was a visionary man. Due to the wines of Tuscany, he sought to convey to the whole world the aroma, color and taste of his beloved homeland. Convinced of the need to protect and enhance the reputation of wines of Chianti, Strakkali showed a pioneering spirit. He was instrumental in the creation of a consortium of Chianti wines – a black rooster and from 1942 until his death was a vice president of the company.
