Winemaker Notes
J. Lohr Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon is dense and dark at the core. Ripe fruit aromas of black cherry and currant are accented by notes of toasted pastry, hazelnut, and vanilla from the winery’s extensive barrel aging program. Big, juicy red-fruit flavors infuse the palate while softly textured tannins lead to a long, gratifying finish.
Blend: 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petite Sirah, 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot, 2% Malbec

This blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon with small amounts of Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Malbec is a muscular yet elegantly textured red with teeth-gripping, chalky tannins. The concentrated ripeness that’s a hallmark of Paso lends extra character to flavors of hazelnut, blackberry, vanilla, and roasted coffee, while the woodsy, spiced finish is soothing.
