Barrels: small (5/6/10 gallon) used bourbon barrels
Age: 1 year, 4 months (most recent bottling, batch 8)
Finish: 1.5 months on toasted amburana spirals
Amburana is a Brazilian wood that finishes to provide a very different whiskey. We knew we had to use it from the moment we smelled the wood. This spirit is distilled and aged in the same fashion as our Firehouse whiskey. From there, we dump the barrels and let the spirit soak in flavor from toasted amburana wood spirals. This finish gives Samba the tropical and cinnamon notes that make it both unique and delicious
