KAH Añejo comes in a painted black skull and has notes of hazelnut and coffee with a strong backbone of vanilla. The white pepper is a lot more subtle, but the grapefruit-citrus oil and eucalyptus give the vanilla a little help but not much. This Añejo is definitely on the sweet side, so if you’ve got a sweet tooth, have at it. Otherwise, stick to their reposado.
This line of Lowland tequilas is bottled in a hand-painted glass skulls. The skulls are meant to depict the Mayan calaveras which are made of sugar and given to families who are then to eat the confectionery as a way of “eating” their own death symbolizing that life transfers from one generation to the next.
