A golden hue gives way to a nose of molten candlewax with a hint of golden Delicious apple, followed by the caramelised edges of tarte tatin and veering into crème brûlée.
The palate also has this edge of waxiness and an almost emollient texture with creamy mousse but the finish is gloriously dry and salty.
