Crabapple, baking spice, great length. Likely needs a ton of time given the structure, but overall well-balanced and well-made, if not particularly tasty at this juncture.
Full, bright ruby. Musky, reduced aromas of black cherry, black raspberry, cassis, tobacco and smoky minerality, along with a wild meaty nuance. Rich and deep but with no shortage of energy to the thick flavors of dark berries, chocolate and earth. Finishes with big but fully ripe tannins and a solid spine of stony minerality.
