Valtellina Superiore “Vigneto Fracia” by Nino Negri is a robust red wine cellar’s cru and it is aged 20 months in second-hand barriques. The nose is fruity, spicy and balsamic. The palate is elegant, with silky tannins and fresh enough.
Aromas suggesting fruitcake, blue flower and dark spice lead the nose. It’s taut and medium-bodied, offering dried cherry, cranberry, sage and clove set against tight, close-grained tannins.
