The wine offers up notes of green apples, lemon oil, white flowers and oystershell, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate with a textural attack, a good core of fruit and tangy balancing acids. It’s a promising wine and a very creditable example of the appellation, with some of the mid-palate weight that typifies the wines of Maligny.
Chablis is the northernmost wine growing region in Burgundy. It’s actually closer to Champagne than much of the rest of Burgundy, because it is separated by the Morvan hills. Chablis produces dry white wines made from Chardonnay, and is situated on ancient Jurassic soils that give its wines minerally and flinty accents
