The name “tawny” comes from the colour that a Port becomes after having been aged for several years in wood casks. This style of Port makes a marvellous aperitif served chilled with salted almonds or olives. It is also excellent as a dessert Port, served at the 16As-18As C with a crASme-brulAC Portal Fine Tawny is very smooth, clean and bright. Probably the best in its category!We age it for 4 years in barrel. It still has lot of fresh fruit on the nose but already with some nutty notes.This wine is mostly enjoyed as an aperitif, slightly chilled.It also works well as a dessert wine for those who prefer a lighter style of wine.
