Inspired by the unique conditions of the rickhouses at the Wild Turkey Distilling Co, the Russell Family proudly introduces the Single Rickhouse collection, featuring a limited release of liquid from a single rickhouse. This collection explores the often unsung contributions specific resting places have on a whiskey’s final character, celebrating varied nuances of whiskey aging across these different environments.

- Nose – Instantly conjures up a classic Turkey. Not quite dusty but undoubtedly similar to older Tear Label bottlings that bring sweetness to the charred oak notes with a touch of funk. Buttercream with a dash of burnt orange. Something in here reminds us of angostura bitters mixing with dried fruits. Notable caramel sweetness.
- Taste – Sweet up front with rich oak, mild nuttiness of pecan shell or even pecan wood, and a dusting of confectioners sugar. Brightness on the mid-palate reminiscent of a fruit cobbler with citrus zest. The brightness rolls into a darker profile but is very “classic Turkey” in character with some dark brown sugar, lightly funky oak structure, and caramel.
- Finish – Long, clingy and balanced – holds on a long time. Oak blends nicely with fruity cream, spice cake, and comes back around with the powdered sugar notes from the front palate.
