Rich nose: some oak, some dried cherries. The palate is dominated at first by crisp acidity, then by tannin which pulls at the roof of the mouth. Some spice and green pepper develops over time. The finish is clean and tannic-dry. The nose is my favorite element. But maybe this is meant to go with food? Day 2 is very, very good. Acidity now delicious and balanced with tannins, and palate satisfies what the nose promises. Recommend.
This was a fun one, great dark fruit notes, and a slight meatiness on the nose. Medium-bodied with well-balanced tannins and some very unique spicy notes on the palate.
