Among the sturdiest and most structured of the cru, Julienas makes serious gamay. The nose is fairly generous with ripe plummy/cherry fruit, vague pepper and damp earth.
It is medium-full bodied in the gamay realm with very good acidity, quite firm tannin and a classic earthy granitic finish. Power here, and the length is excellent.
