Underbrush, pressed iris and baked plum aromas come together on this. It’s round and soft, offering flavors of prune, dried cherry and hints of coffee and clove while round pliant tannins give light support.

The Morellino di Scansano Tempo Riserva is a darker wine laced with smoke, earthiness grilled herbs, black cherries and an array of darker aromas and flavors. Still quite brooding, this masculine, intense Morellino will require a measure of patience. Make no mistake about it, this is a serious wine. The Riserva is 90% Sangiovese, 5% Alicante, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Superbly rich ruby-red appearance. Classic Maremma characteristics on the nose, with crisp fruit fragrances melding beautifully with earthy notes. The palate exhibits a solid structure with impressive depth, and a judicious equilibrium between alcoholic warmth and tannic weave. Very long tasty finish.
