This vintage shows massive floral perfume with underlying redcurrant, cedar, black pepper, coriander spice and hints of Turkish Delight. The macerated red fruit carries through onto a palate layered with marzipan, minerals and a superb velvety structure. Textured, composed and seamless in style.
This full-bodied red wine is a blend of mostly shiraz grapes and some grenache, cabernet sauvignon, cinsault and a splash of viognier grapes. It’s savoury, complex and delicious. Meaty and enticing, full-bodied wonderful with a concentrated weave of anise, cigar box, pepper and meaty notes. Extremely juicy and mouthwatering in a food-happy kind of way. Balanced and delicious: this is a terrific red to red if you’re not familiar with South African wines, or even if you are. Highly recommended.
