This is 100% from Sophie’s holdings, a village appellation that is situated just to the north of town, in between two Premier Cru vineyards – Beaurepaire and Passetemps. The vines were planted in two plots, one 39 years-old the other 30. This has the same deep color as the previous wines.
Quite uniform, a little riper on the nose than the first two wines and on the palate, too, a little more ripeness. Good Pinot character with dark chocolate, mint along with some smoke and tobacco. There is a bit of tannin on the finish but a always a good value.
