Yamazaki 18 Year Mizunara Edition “100th Anniversary”Âis a highly collectible single malt whiskey which has been aged Eighteen Years and is matured inÂMizunara casks, to honor the Suntory Whisky’s centenary. It really showcases the Mizunara Casks which is said to “enhance” the single malt whisky with its distinctive Japanese character.ÂThe nose on this one is bold and spicy with profound notes of Sandalwood. On the palate, you’ll notice subtle hints of Agarwood, Black cherries, and winter spice. The finish is warm and smooth ripe stone fruit.

Yamazaki Mizunara Edition 2022Âis a highly collectible single malt whiskey which has been aged Twelve Years and is matured inÂMizunara oak to honor the Suntory Whisky’s centenary. It really show cases the Mizunara Casks which is said to “enhance” the single malt whisky with its distinctive Japanese character.ÂThe nose on this one isÂbold and spicey, with profound essence of Mizunara Casks. On the palate, you’ll notice subtle hints ofÂcustard cream biscuits, and caramel. The finish is mellow with slight hints of incense and oak throughout theÂback end of the palate.Â

The Yamazaki Distillery was established in 1923 as the first commercial whisky distillery. It is owned by Suntory whose founder Shinjiro Torii was inspired by Scottish whisky and set out to create his own Japanese inspired in different terrain and climate conditions. Suntory is now aÂworld famous brand which is known for producing quality, technique, and sophistication. Yamazaki Distillery is locatedÂat the cross boundary of the Yi-Lan mountains, which overlook the Pacific Ocean.Â
