The 16th batch of single cask bottlings from GlenDronach featured a trio of 27 year old, 1990 vintage expressions – including this tasty treat! It was distilled in April 1990 and left to mature in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon until 2017, when it was bottled with an outturn of 632 bottles.
Tasting Note
Nose: An old chestnut cabinet opens to the scent of sandalwood and beeswax. On following the scent deeper, discover date oil and spiced bramble pie on an earthy forest floor.
Palate: Orange-laced mocha, spiced mincepies and dark bramble jam carried on a bed of leather-velvet, leaving date oil and prunes into the rich and unctuous long-lasting finish.
